**Our Team**:
The production site in **Geel **is part of Sanofi's Industrial Operations network and is the Center of Excellence to produce therapeutic enzymes. As **Manufacturing Manager Cell Culture (USP)** you are responsible for managing, developing, and planning the production department within APU plant 2 (Autonomous Production Unit) and this together with Manufacturing Manager Purification, the APU support manager, QA compliance & Maintenance. You will also work closely with validation, QC, engineering, etc.

**Main responsibilities**:

- You act as a Subject Matter Expert for the USP (Up Stream Processing) department in internal and external meetings & reports.
- You ensure efficient management of resources (budget, time, material, expertise) within the department
- You manage and/or participate in interdepartmental projects
- You supervise and manage a team of approximately 70 people.
- You coach supervisors regarding people management, planning, solving production-related issues, etc.
- You support your team with developments, process improvements, projects, etc.
- You assist your employees in practical issues but also in their development and training needs.
- You are the central point of contact for your department for questions, problems, people-related matters, etc.
- You are part of the APU Management Team of the Sanofi Genzyme Geel site
- Within the APU you work very closely with the manufacturing manager purification, the quality operations manager, technical service supervisor as well as the APU support manager and APU plant head.

**Profiel**

**Experience**:

- You have at least 5 years of experience in a managerial position, you have experience in cell culture processes in the** (bio-)pharmaceutical sector** with preferably experience in a **GMP **(production) environment
