**Procurement Manager**
**Summary**
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the global purchasing function of CellCarta's Histopathology business unit for Belgium, China, and the US. The Procurement Manager will implement and maintain a fit-for-purpose system integrated within LIMS and Business Central. The Procurement Manager will develop sound and cost effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the laboratories and operational units.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead the purchasing teams in Belgium, China, and the US to ensure that all required materials, services, and equipment are ordered on time, registered correctly in the system, and get stored on all agreed locations
- Act as a point of contact between CellCarta and suppliers, negotiating contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers and identifying potential new suppliers based on project or operational requirements
- Monitor and update the operating and finance departments regarding price fluctuations of reagents, lab consumables, or vendor pricing
- Establish an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum operational processes and develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.
- Work closely with the legal department of CellCarta to ensure contract terms are favorable to the company
- Manage the supplier qualification and annual evaluation program in accordance with the guidelines of QA and ISO requirements
- Ensure quality of procured items and manage supplier complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Communicate on regular intervals with the operational managers to ensure an efficient flow of goods and determine supply needs based on agreed inventory levels
- Review the laboratory inventory in LIMS on regular intervals and report back on variances and fluctuations; organize a solid cycle count program to maintain correct inventory positions; manage external and internal inventory control audits
- Contribute to a correct maintenance of master data in LIMS in relation to purchasing and product inventory
- Support the annual budgeting process (Annual Operating Plan)
- Conduct cost analysis and seek for global sourcing opportunities with key vendors
**Education**
- Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
**Main Requirements**
- Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement
- Strong leadership capabilities to manage teams globally
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Strong team player
- Good communication and problem solving skills
- Good knowledge of supplier and purchasing management software
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Strong ethical behavior and ability to deal with confidential information
