At Crunch Analytics, we help **EU retail and e-commerce teams** at **G-Star, Torfs, Van de Velde, Unilin, Roompot**, and others to embrace big data & AI techniques. We introduce **AI-driven solutions** (advanced analytics) that fundamentally change how these organizations create value.

**As a Director of Finance & Legal Affairs**, you will be part of a business team supporting day-to-day agency operations.

You will take up the role of **financial architect**. In the said role, you will develop an adequate understanding of our cost structure and value drivers to complete tasks such as coordinating financial planning, managing funding of growth, accounting, etc.

As our **go-to legal affairs manager**, your wisdom and experience will help us negotiate and conclude legal agreements with both clients & external partners.

Such should enable you to establish yourself as **a trusted advisor,** enabling Crunch Analytics to flourish at the forefront of a big data & AI revolution in retail & e-commerce.

**What will be part of your responsibilities?**

You will bear responsibilities in four main domains:
**Growth financing**
- You act as the **financial architect of the organization**. Through a thorough understanding of our cost structure and drivers of value, you develop an excellent understanding of how the company currently operates and identify opportunities for improvement. Armed with data & insights, you advise the organization's management team on investments to be made or costs to be reduced to drive the creation of added value and sustainable growth.
- You are responsible for the drafting and follow-up concerning the organization's **financial plan**. You coordinate the translation of this plan into budgets and performance metrics. You closely monitor our financial situation and report proactively.
- You manage the **funding of our growth**. You maintain favorable relations with banks & investors, build our case, draft documents, conduct negotiations and drive due diligence. You assist in the process of obtaining subsidies and their administrative follow-up.

**Administration & Reporting**
- You control and report on **the company's monthly, quarterly & annual closings** with subsequent reports. You set up an efficient workflow that works both for you & the team, enabling accurate financial reporting.
- You coordinate and supervise **typical tasks in the field of finance** related to accounting & taxes. You are responsible for closing supplier contracts, cost controlling, insurances, and alike.
- You stay on top of **evolutions and developments** in the field of finance and accounting and suggest changes to our way of working.

**Legal Affairs**
- You safeguard the organization's interests by coordinating the drafting of **legal agreements with external partners**, such as suppliers, governments, ea., ensuring their correctness and appropriate impact on the organization.
- With regard to **client contracts**, you drive the negotiation process on any legal aspects. With the help of specialized external law firm partners, you safeguard the robustness and overall integrity of said long-term agreements as they are vital to the organization's future.

**Organization Management**
- As a member of the Management Team, you share the responsibility for defining and executing the company's growth strategy. The previously listed responsibilities allow you to provide financial and legal advice when translating such strategy into goals and actions.
- You strive to understand how internal teams operate and use your financial & legal insights to challenge other leaders or act as a facilitator. You are involved in OKR and KPI setting to ensure company-wide alignment.
- As the right-hand man of the CEO, you act as a strategic discussion partner. You pull together the overall financial story and help shape CA's strategy and path forward. You leave your mark on the organization's future by contributing ideas, formulating proposals, and developing projects.
**‍ What skills are required or can be perfected on the job?**
- You have an **MS** in Law, Economics, Business or Civil Engineering, Business Administration or similar;
- You have at least five (5) years of experience managing legal and financial affairs;
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment confronted with 100% annual growth;
- You have a strong affinity for digital products and/or retail/E-commerce;
- You have excellent communication & negotiation skills;
- You have a positive attitude and take plenty of initiative;
- You are fluent in Dutch and English (oral and written);
