To support our Advanced Surgical Innovations Business we are currently looking for a full-time customer-oriented field Sales Representative Surgical Innovations Antwerp with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to spot business opportunities. This is a great challenge for a person with strong relations management skills and a few years of commercial experience. Fluent in Dutch and English is required.
**A Day in the Life**
We offer you a position where you present and sell Advanced Surgical Innovations products and services to current and potential clients. This Sales Representative position is responsible for meeting or exceeding established program targets within a given geographical territory (Antwerp). We expect you to be able to learn and comprehend complex medical and scientific information, maximize client brand, and achieve daily sales call activities and client deliverables by gaining access to decision-makers and influencing product usage. The main purpose of this role is to sell a range of products (Stapling devices and Energy devices including Hardware) as well as different projects like Visualization and Tender Management.
You will be responsible for the sales of these products to assigned hospitals and related healthcare professionals. We are looking for an experienced professional who has a demonstrated ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects while establishing trusted partnerships with key staff at the hospitals, including Clinical and non-Clinical Stakeholders. Previous experience with DMU management is a must. This is a challenging but rewarding role, allowing you to define and execute your own sales strategies to meet the set targets.
You will be primarily responsible for selling the full range of products in assigned accounts or regions in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals as well as for the management of quality and consistency of product and service delivery. You will build strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure the usage of our products and gain greater market share, leading through clinical selling. We expect you to cooperate and coordinate activities with your team members and the other divisions within Medtronic to maximize business opportunities.
Other responsibilities will include:
**Customer Management**
- Achieving agreed targets focused on sales growth
- Presenting, providing in-service and selling Advances Surgical Products and services to current and potential clients
- Supporting and advising the physician during procedures in the OR on the correct use of Medtronic devices
- Preparing presentations, proposals and sales contracts
- Managing account services through quality checks and another follow-up
- Identifying and resolving client concerns
- Optimizing tender management in the region
**Business Development**
- Leading with clinical selling activities within the territory
- Identifying sales prospects and contacting these and other accounts as assigned
- Preparing action plans and scheduling to identify specific targets and to project the contacts to be made
- Following up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
- Interacting with purchasing managers/hospital administrators to set up and negotiate broader sales contracts
- Taking a wide organisational view of selling and managing accounts, with sufficient knowledge of competitors and their products
- Maintaining customer knowledge by gathering information about account activities and potential, key decision-makers, competitive participation, market share etc.
It will be your job to meet (or preferably exceed) financial and non-financial targets in a way that enhances Medtronic’s reputation in the market. In this commercial position, you will fulfil a number of tasks in the field of sales, ranging from market analyses and developing sales strategies to performing sales activities such as product introductions and supporting technical procedures when necessary. You will identify and address all key decision-makers, opinion leaders and referrals, extend existing accounts and develop entirely new ones.
Building strong and lasting business relationships is another important task. Just as identifying and preparing upcoming tenders, market trends and competitor information. Furthermore, it will be your responsibility to train and educate relevant hospital staff and to maintain and acquire knowledge on new products, technologies, markets, sales tools and processes.
We expect you to act, make decisions, and contribute to achieving and exceeding of sales budget, implementing of sales plan and growing existing business as well as managing customer relations at all levels in your territory.
