Junior Scrap Buyer

**Function**:
You will start in this job by mastering the administrative side of the varied purchasing, selling and planning of aluminium for our factory in Duffel, such as invoicing and complaint handling.

Among other things, you will take care of:

- drawing up and supervising supplier and customer contracts
- registering contracts and processing orders in SAP (or other ERP systems)
- scheduling deliveries/pick-ups, as well as monitoring deliveries and stock control (internal and external stock)
- analysing information and preparing evaluations in preparation of commercial decisions/planning
- preparing the month-end closing, drawing up a cash flow forecast, margin calculation and coordination with the planning department

**In addition, you will be further trained to become a Scrap Buyer. In the long term, this will include the following**:

- You take care of the analysis and translation of metal type to scrap type requirements (taking into account internal requirements, among other things).
- You proactively seek for suitable scrap suppliers through company visits, trade fairs, internet and maintaining a personal network.
- You initiate trials for new types of scrap and also take care of evaluation around this.
- You negotiate and finalize contracts and spot purchases with scrap dealers.
- You will actively look for potential buyers of scrap metal that is not usable by us. You negotiate and finalize these contracts.

**Profile**:

- You possess a master's degree (preferably economic oriented)
- You work structured and meticulously and you enjoy working in a team.
- You have an analytical way of thinking
- Take initiative doesn’t scare you off
- You work well in stressful situations
- You have a good knowledge of Dutch, English and German (or are willing to improve this)
- You will be prepared to become a Senior Scrap Buyer in about 2 years (depending on your own growth rate)
