**Un.e business developer pour un CDD de 1 an à temps plein**

**Contexte**:
ULB-TTO, the Technology Transfer Office of Université libre de Brussel is in charge of protecting the intellectual property rights (mainly patents) arising from research results of ULB scientists, transferring such intellectual property assets to the industry through licensing agreements and the creation of spin-off companies. ULB-TTO also supports the set up of collaborative agreement among university research team and industry.

At ULB-TTO, you belong to the business development team within the Valorization and IP Unit and work closely with scientific advisors and legal advisors.

Complementary competence development will be ensured through the participation to trainings in the fields of intellectual property, licensing and valuation of innovative technologies.

Activities are oriented towards innovation, and valorisation of Knowledge, Science & Technologies recent developments. Friendly and dynamic environment. Diversity in the projects.

**Missions**:
You are part of the team responsible for developing and promoting the technology transfer activities of the institution, with a specific focus in the field of life-sciences.
- Mission 1: You will perform market analyses (existing similar/substitute products, main players, trends of the market ) of innovations in order to identify the opportunity to file patents
- Mission 2: You will support business plans design for a wide range of projects. In these tasks, you will interact with different actors (business analysts, investment funds, incubators)
- Mission 3: Your market analyses will also be crucial for supporting researchers in filling impact and valorization inputs in their calls for proposals for regional and applied research projects
- Mission 4: You will perform financial valuation of projects to support the TTO team in the negotiation process of transfer agreements;
You will interact directly with researchers, university-affiliated incubators, your colleagues from legal and scientific backgrounds to transfer efficiently new technologies to the market.

**Profil**:

- Master degree in Management or Economics or Master degree in Life Sciences with an experience in product commercialization or business development.
- An experience in the industry or in a research innovation or economic development public body is an asset

**General skills**:

- You have been recently graduated, or already have an experience in the industry or in a research innovation or economic development public body.
- You have a particular interest in Sciences, Innovation, Business Development and Entrepreneurship
- You speak English and French
- Speaking Dutch is an asset
- A sound and good understanding of the Belgian funding landscape - public & private fundings - and of the biotech/pharma sector ecosystem would be an asset

**Qualities**:

- You are dynamic, proactive, a great team player and able to work autonomously.
- You are analytical and open-minded
- You have negotiation skills, flexibility and persuasion capacity in a result-oriented approach
- You have a creative mindset mainly related to Science and/or Business.
