Brussels, Belgique EBU - European Broadcasting Union Temps plein

**The AISBL EBU-UER is looking for a ‘European Perspective’ Editor.**

**ABOUT THE AISBL EBU-UER**

The AISBL EBU-UER is a not-for-profit organization under Belgian law that promotes and defends the interests of its members in the field of public service media, including the wider membership of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), vis-à-vis international organizations and particularly the European Union. The EBU speaks for 112 organizations represented in 56 countries, who operate almost 2000 television, radio and online channels and services and offer a wealth of content across other platforms.

It also hosts ‘A European Perspective’ (AEP), an EU-funded project, bringing together public service media who exchange original online news content to offer their audiences fresh insight into pan-European issues. Participating news organizations contribute to a news recommendation service that helps European citizens contextualize trending stories and better understand how other countries are coping with universal challenges.

It is a unique technical and editorial collaboration driven by trusted Public Service Media and other public service organizations that share editorial values and high levels of public trust. It is driven by an original content exchange system which allows members to contribute their own content and to monitor and publish news stories produced by their peers. News articles are translated into multiple languages by the EBU’s AI-assisted EuroVox tool and thanks to the EBU’s automatic content recommendation tool (PEACH) they surface where they matter most.

This initiative harnesses the power of AI, while keeping public service journalists at the heart of decision-making. Participating organizations display a dedicated newsfeed on their homepages, or within articles, serving the growing demand for a European perspective on news coverage.
