The pastry commis assists the pastry chef in leading and managing all culinary activities within the pastry department, meeting set standards for quality, hygiene, productivity and guest satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide and prepare desserts, pastries, ice cream, cakes, mignardises,... for lunch and dinner
- Mise en place
- Managing and cleaning the kitchen equipment
- Compliance with safety and HACCP in the kitchen
- Working closely with colleagues in the kitchen and dining room
- Continuously innovate and strive for the perfect service for the guests
Your profile:
- Passion for sweet delights
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in a similar position
- Communicative in English or Dutch
- Enthusiastic, flexible and service minded
- Working under pressure during services
- Groomed appearance, neatness and accuracy
- Solution oriented and hands on mentality
