We are looking for Junior Claims Handler - Admin support (M/F), based in Antwerp, Belgium, on a temporary basis.

**The Impact You Will Have**
Based in Antwerp, you will report directly to the Claims Manager the Netherlands & Belgium and work closely with both the Antwerp and Rotterdam based claims teams. As a trusted industrial leader, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Claims Handler to join our dynamic claims department for one year. You will play a crucial role in supporting our claims team by performing various administrative and operational tasks, while being trained on the job by the team to ensure your success in the role. Your ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail will contribute to our overall goal of delivering prompt and accurate claims processing.
**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**:
- Provide general administrative support to the claims department in Antwerp, Belgium and the team based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, including data entry, document management, and maintaining organized records.
- Assist with the initial intake and registration of new claims and all related data, ensuring all necessary information is collected accurately and efficiently, then recorded in our internal systems.
- Investigate potential errors in claims bookings, collaborating with claims adjusters to ensure corrections are made.
- Collaborate closely with claims adjusters to facilitate smooth claims processing, ensuring all necessary documentation is readily available.
- Engage with other functional areas in the claims handling process, such as Underwriting and Operations, as well as with colleagues in our offices abroad.
- Follow up on so-called “sleeping files” with the relevant claims adjuster.
- Performing myriad ad hoc administrative tasks.
**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
- You have some years’ proven experience in working in a corporate environment and teams.
- Ideally you have experience in dealing with claims. Knowledge of insurance policies, claims processes, and industry terminology is desirable, but not a must.
- Ideally you have a professional (insurance) qualification or are working towards it.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and ideally (but this is not a must) experience with claims management systems (e.g., Global Genius, Claws).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with external parties and internal team members, in Flemish and English. Knowledge of French is a bonus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities or situations.
- Positive team spirit, at ease handling remote collaboration & relationships.
