Within our MSAT team in Mont-saint-Guibert (Belgium) there is one position immediately available for an Associate Scientist for analytical development.

**The position**:
The Associate Scientist will be involved in all aspects of development, optimization, and qualification of new analytical methods and equipment associated with hiPSC-based manufacturing processes., under the supervision of a Scientist.. Activities include advanced hands-on assay development, state of the art analytical method development, and GMP readiness.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Perform development, qualification, and at a later phase, validation of analytical methods using high throughput and multidimensional technologies, where necessary
- Perform in process analyses and cell-based assays for functional characterization of differentiated cells
- Participate in technology transfer of methods or processes to QC and/or cGMP manufacturing
- Support routine lab activities such as stock management, cleaning.
- Collect and record data accurately following standard operating procedures in compliance with Quality Management System
- Write technical documents such as protocols, reports, and operating procedures within the Quality Management System
- Provide scientific background and feedback on results to the scientific team
- Participate to team meeting and planning organization
- Review technical documents for accuracy and thoroughness
- Propose solutions and participate in investigations whenever needed

**Qualification & Experience**:

- Bachelor or Master Degree in (applied) biological science or related domains
- At least 3 years of experience in cell culture
- Demonstrated practical experience in independent assay qualification / validation and tech transfer (e.g., flow cytometry, qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA, and functional immunological assays) and cell culture techniques is a requirement (such as, maintenance of cell lines, cryopreservation, cell counting, media preparation, aseptic techniques)
- Experience with stem cells or with immune cells is a plus Experience with flow cytometry/Immunofluorescence/qPCR/Cell-based assays is a plus

- Good communication skills and team-player
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent knowledge of English both written and verbal
- Affinity with GMP quality systems
