For a client in the insurance sector, we are looking for a junior accountant.**
Description**
As a Junior Accountant in the IOC office, you are responsible for:
- Verifying accounting calculations and entries, financial journals, technical accounts issued and declarations (Intrastat, VAT, withholding taxes etc.) made by his/her team to ensure correct and timely processing.
- Prepare, analyze and correct legal/tax/financial/internal and external reports for the closing and forecasting periods, in collaboration with the Experts, Senior Experts and the Director, in order to ensure compliance with legal accounting and tax provisions and/or as a basis for strategic/managerial decisions.
- Participate in meetings with internal (other group entities, other departments, center of expertise...) and external (auditors, banks, ministries...) interlocutors, negotiate autonomously in his field of expertise in order to find agreements that take into account the needs of the organization while respecting accounting standards.
- Handle and follow up on malfunctions to ensure the accuracy of accounting entries.
**Profile**
- You have a first professional experience in a similar function and you have a Master's degree in economics or a Bachelor's degree in accounting;
- You are fluent in French and have a good knowledge of Dutch and can understand and read English;
- You are familiar with accounting entries and are comfortable with numbers;
- Curious, you are interested in the functioning of the expenses at the IT level;
- You are methodical and rigorous;
- You respect deadlines;
- You are flexible;
- You have already worked with COUPA.
