Imec leads semiconductor innovation by developing and demonstrating new device concepts and production processes that meet the needs of tomorrow’s electronic devices. Process development engineers work closely with Equipment and Material Suppliers and play an indispensable role in building and sharing in-depth knowledge of how physical and chemical processes interact and impact performance.

Depending on your specialism, you will have the opportunity to work on solutions for lithography, etch, deposition, planarization, cleaning and surface treatment, wafer bonding, assembly, packaging, or other semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Your future role
- You know ASML scanners functionalities (DUV, EUV), alignment and overlay metrology.
- You are familiar with advanced CMOS flow and understand how process impacts alignment and overlay lithography performance.
- You create plans to respond to specific questions from our ASML partner in the domain of overlay, alignment and Edge Placement Error.
- You manage a team to drive project to execution in a timely manner.
- You periodically report to project ASML.
- You collaborate with multiple suppliers (Resist, etch, etc...) according to the need of the projects.
- You collaborate with FAB hardware engineers and technicians to coordinate the work or to troubleshoot a tool or process.
- You share your in-depth knowledge of how processes interact and impact measurement performance with integration and device engineers collaborating on the same projects, as well as with junior colleagues.

Who you are
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or similar through experience
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience working in an industrial environment or lab
- skillful in at least one or more of the following: lithography, overlay metrology, imaging
- dedicated to delivering as planned
- committed to embracing the ambiguity inherent to an R&D project environment
- flexible team player
- investigative listener
- decisive and persuasive
- hands-on with a sense of initiative
- proficient English
