**The role**
As an account manager within Alcon, you play a crucial role. You manage a broad sales portfolio and are the first point of contact for our customers and you are responsible for building long-term and warm relationships. You effortlessly and enthusiastically keep your customers up to date about new products, product development and innovations. With a natural enthusiasm you know how to convince (potential) customers about the high quality and added value of Alcon's surgical products and equipment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Identify and meet customer needs by offering appropriate Alcon products and services
- Support customers to encourage active collaboration and build quality relationships
- Guide customers to reach consumers through advice, identify the appropriate channels and frequency of communication
- Collaborate with the Professional Affaires team to ensure consumers are provided with correct information about products and services
- Execute business plans and achieve the sales targets for your assigned territory as well as the national targets in collaboration with the other departments (Sales and Marketing)
- Create a network of (potential) customer organizations and investigate factors that can influence customer decisions
- Improve overall customer satisfaction and experience through research
- Bachelor working and thinking level in a relevant field, preferably in Sales/Marketing
- 2-5 years of experience as an account manager and knows how to turn rapid changes into opportunities and translate them into customer benefits. Experience in surgical market would be a plus but is not a requirement
- Fluent in French and English, both written and oral
- Is an ambitious, result-oriented, enterprising and energetic person who can work independently and is also a team player
- Knows how to be the professional discussion partner and advisor for our customers on an operational and strategic level
- Possesses excellent communication skills, both technical and interpersonal and has strong business and sales strategies
- Possess field service experience and you possess influencing, negotiation and collaboration skills, you are able to build and maintain long term relationships
