**Univercells **SA brings together a group of Belgian and global biotech affiliates working together under a common mission (the “Group”). Each division of affiliates operates a different part of the healthcare value chain, through a distinct business model:
- Exothera is a Contract Manufacturing and Development Organization (CDMO) for biologicals, mainly vaccines and viral vectors, with GMP production facilities in Belgium and offering process development and optimization services.
- Unizima delivers international project management of technology transfer, alongside operational support services (quality, supply chain, digital) and bioproduction training programs, as well as care centers and diagnostics surveillance centers.
- Quantoom Biosciences develops open, integrated and affordable manufacturing platforms (RNA as flagship) to enable the production of vaccines & therapeutics that scale from development to mass production.
- RLM Consulting thanks to a substantial knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and a strong scientific background, RLM Consulting provides international regulatory affairs support at all stages of product development, from discovery research through preclinical and clinical testing, up to and beyond submission of the dossier for marketing authorization

**MISSION**
Our facilities are strategically located in Belgium, in the heart of Europe, benefiting from an exceptional biotech ecosystem. Quantoom Biosciences is a biotech embarking on a mission to reinvent bioproduction with open, integrated, affordable and (pre)clinically validated technology platforms. Quantoom Biosciences is opening a new US-based facility and we are looking for our first employee who will be our Laboratory Manager to oversee our laboratory and facilities function. The individual in this role will be responsible for execution across various activities, including day-to-day lab and facilities operations, to support a growing team of Scientists and Technicians. Our laboratory will be located in Andover at 30 min from Boston - Center.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Initial set-up of lab and overall operations.
- Oversee experiment preparation, execution, and reporting.
- Maintain a roadmap of technical priorities and solutions to meet business goals and scientific and development standards within the organization.
- Outsourcing
- Interface with customers to pertaining to project execution and results.
- Ensure quality and biosafety compliance as well as safety guidelines are met consistently.
- Collaborate on the drafting of all biosafety procedures and lab practices while supervising compliance fulfillment.
- Ensure that all assemblies and equipment are available for experiments.
- Coordinate laboratory practices.
- Manage a team of Lab Scientists and Support Technicians.
- Manage laboratory purchase of inventory, storage, and supplies usage.
- Train on equipment, use, procedures, practices and share knowledge and practical/professional experience.
- Plan lab support activities.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Biology or equivalent experience.
- General Molecular biology knowledge
- 5-10 years of experience executing and leading lab and facilities operations.
- Experience managing a team.
- Eager to learn and leverage know-how to participate in the development of solutions.
- Capacity to work autonomously.
- Solid technical expertise and customer-focused attitude.
- Enthusiastic and agile to work on a variety of projects in a multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to give confidence through in-depth experimental reports and data analysis.
