**YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
As Area Sales Manager UK & Ireland your goal is to achieve profitable sales growth through supporting existing distributors whilst identifying and developing new distributors. Additionally, you will close the loop and develop sales through building up relations with the retail shopfitters and smaller manufacturing industry:

- You will build and maintain close working relationships with decision-makers within the existing dealer network. You will develop the relationship with the distributors into a partnership approach, identifying how Unilin’s product range can support the distributors’ growth strategies. You will train and motivate their staff, grow their share of wallet and agree on joint marketing activity plans. You will present new products which could add value to their current offering.
- You will analyze the market, identify market trends and you will identify where Unilin Panels is under-represented in the UK & IE market, both by geography and sector. You will develop new additional accounts which fill that gap and you will subsequently ensure that Unilin is well-positioned to capitalize upon sales opportunities.
- You will focus on opportunities at the medium/high end which represent the potential to achieve sales growth with good margins.
- You will identify new distributors who would represent a good fit with Unilin Panels and enable the company to achieve increased sales, with a focus on our added value products (Unilin Evola decorative panels, HPL range, MDF specialties).
- You will also work closely together with the specification team and with the Direct Accounts Sales Manager for UK & IE in order to secure specifications for projects.
- You will promote Unilin’s values of creativity and innovation, positioning the company as a premium brand in the UK & IE market.

PROFILE
- You have a successful track record within a sales/business development capacity. Key Account Management skills are essential, together with a proven ability to identify and open new accounts and appetite to visit the full value chain from staff at the interior builders to purchasing directors at the distributor.
- You have the capability to analyze the market, identify trends.
- You have excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, you are capable of building lasting working relationships at all levels, both within Unilin, with customers and end-user companies. Subsequently you can ensure that the company is capable of capitalizing upon business development opportunities.
- A previous track record of specification selling would be advantageous, with evidence of having secured projects secured through architects and designers.
- A “hunter” mentality is essential and to fit within Unilin’s culture, the person appointed into this role must demonstrate high levels of energy and achievement drive. He/she will also thrive on being given high levels of responsibility.
