Within our Integrated Data Analytics & Reporting (IDAR) Clinical and Statistical Programming (C&SP) group we are looking for individuals with the motivation to contribute to the growth of our Clinical Programming team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the **Clinical Programming group **that is defining source data to CDISC SDTM optimized data flow and execution in support of clinical data monitoring, review and ARBM as well as regulatory submissions.
The Oncology Head, Clinical Programming is a highly experienced functional area leader with expert knowledge of Clinical Programming strategy, concepts, and processes. This position also requires expert people leadership skills with the capability to effectively manage clinical programming support across a large portfolio, typically across Oncology.
This position is accountable for the Clinical Programming strategy from source data to CDISC SDTM regulatory submissions and delivery for their assigned area in accordance with company and departmental processes and procedures. It is also responsible to support all reporting activities related to clinical data monitoring, review and ARBM.
In collaboration with departmental and cross functional leadership/key stakeholders, lead technical capabilities and process solutions strategy for assigned strategic priority delivering increased productivity, quality, performance, and innovation within the Clinical Programming functional area.
As a people manager and organizational leader, responsible for the recruitment, performance management, talent development and the allocation of resources within the Clinical Programming area to meet current and future business needs.
As a member of the senior leadership team, provide input into overall Clinical & Statistical Programming & Analysis strategy, development of departmental policies, procedures, training, and standards. May own one or more business processes.
**Principal Responsibilities**:
- As Therapeutic Area Functional Leader- Oversees and ensures effective Clinical Programming delivery across assigned Therapeutic Area/Value Stream Portfolio.
- In collaboration with IDAR Therapeutic Area Leads, provides input on portfolio prioritization and manages resource planning and allocation accordingly
- Identifies and drives process optimization and innovation within assigned area and ensures alignment of processes and procedures across partner functions and key stakeholders.
- In collaboration with departmental leadership, oversees and coordinates sourcing and budget planning and strategy for assigned area.
- As an Organization and Functional Area People Leader- Accountable for attracting and retaining top talent, managing performance, and actively supporting talent development and succession planning. Ensures organizational effectiveness, transparency, and communication.
- Ensures training compliance and development of appropriate job skills for assigned personnel and organization. Oversees work allocation for line reports and provides coaching and guidance as necessary.

- Accountable to drive technical capabilities and process solutions strategy for assigned strategic priority delivering increased productivity, quality, performance, and innovation within the Clinical Programming functional area.
- Contributes to functional strategy and vision to meet current and future needs, stays current with related industry trends and policies.
- Provides strategic direction and/or sponsorship of departmental and/or cross functional initiatives and projects.
- Participates in and/or leads global cross-functional and cross-company initiatives, as applicable.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and/or equivalent in computer science, mathematics or another relevant scientific field required. Advanced degree (Master’s, PhD or equivalent) preferred.
- Approximately 10-12+ years clinical programming, data management or statistical programming experience within the pharmaceutical/clinical trial environment with proven experience in leadership roles. _Oncology experience preferred._
- Excellent people leadership skills. People management experience of 5-7 years is strongly preferred.
- Extensive understanding of clinical programming practices and systems with strong general knowledge of clinical operations.
- Established track record working on cross-functional teams in a matrix environment and partnering with/managing stakeholders and customers.
