The Compliance department is responsible for ensuring compliance with the legal and regulatory provisions that govern the insurance business. Its activities are mainly focused on identifying, assessing, and mitigating key compliance risks.

Your responsibilities:
As the Senior Compliance Expert, you are a genuine reference for Compliance topics within the Company and the team because of your in-depth expertise in the field, both technically and practically. You are therefore responsible for, among other things:
- Supporting the Chief Compliance Officer in his/her function and in the performance of his/her activities, specifically including participation in the Compliance plan, the Risk Assessment and the follow-up of the actions identified.
- Contributing to the implementation of the Compliance system at the Company level.
- Providing advice and follow-up activities to the Business, in particular by recommending on their files and operational requests.
- Participating in the elaboration of the various reports related to Compliance domains.
- Carrying out regulatory monitoring on regulators' requirements and contributing to their implementation in the company.
- Participating in raising awareness and/or training of the Business on Compliance topics.
- Training and coaching more junior colleagues and contributing to the sharing of knowledge within the Compliance team.
Your profile:
- You have a Master’s in law, economics, auditing or financial management or the equivalent experience.
- You have at least 7 years’ experience in a similar role (in a life insurance or financial sector control company).
- You have knowledge in specific fields of Compliance: governance, IDD, FATCA, anti-trust, ESG, etc.
- Your are a French or Dutch speaker with a good command of the other national language and you have a very good knowledge of English.
- You can present your analyses in an effective, simple and clear way with all types of stakeholders, including senior management.
- You have an analytical mind and are results and solutions oriented.
- You are organised and like structured work and you can manager your priorities.
- You are able to work under pressure and you can meet tight deadlines.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate cooperation within the team and permit positive interaction with all parties.
