Due to a temporary replacement in our ELC Payroll team, we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Payroll Specialist to join us for a temporary period of 12 months. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurate payroll administration and assists the Nike European Logistics Campus (ELC) in complying with the Belgian labor law. You’ll join a dedicated team where your excellent analytical skills will shine through. Having a high curiosity for problem solving and process improvement is important as we strive for ultimate accuracy and efficiency, whilst always looking for ways to keep your talent constantly on the move.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

If this is you, you’ll be working with the local payroll team to execute to the monthly payroll of both the ELC and Nike retail stores across BE. This includes processing, testing, validating, audit compliance, post-payroll reports, next to quarterly and annual processes. As a key member of the team, you’ll distribute required reports to stakeholders after payroll cut off dates, whilst providing information and advice to managers and employees on social legislation and pay-roll related questions based on established guidelines.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, you’ll join an established local Payroll team with 3 dedicated Payroll Specialists. You’ll work as part of the wider HR Team and connect with a range wide range of business areas.

WHAT YOU BRING:

- You’ll ideally hold a bachelor’s degree within the field of Socio-Legal, alongside experience working within a Payroll function.
- Knowledge of the salary administration package of E-blox SD Worx and Prime Time of GET is an advantage, as is experience with interfacing.
- Pressure will not get you down You’re resilient, flexible, and willing to participate in new projects.
- You tackle and solve problems with confidence.
- As a strong team player, you are customer oriented but can also work well independently.
- You have the necessary discretion and integrity to work with confidential information and have excellent communication skills (written and spoken English is essential, Dutch is an added advantage).
- Your analytical mind quickly acquires insight in new matters, you have the ambition and the potential to deepen your knowledge in processes and to improve them.
- The office package has no secrets for you (Excel, Word, etc).
- Knowledge of Workday is a plus.
