**Risk Analytics** is verantwoordelijk voor de statistische modellen die het mogelijk maken om op een objectieve en duidelijke wijze zicht te krijgen op alle risico’s die de bank loopt bij zijn kredietactiviteiten voor particulieren en kmo’s. Om deze activiteiten uit te voeren beschikt ons team over een berg historische informatie (bv. betaal historie en allerlei klantkarakteristieken). Aan de hand van al deze historische informatie gaan we binnen het team Risk Analytics aan de slag om uit het verleden inzichten te verwerven en deze inzichten te gebruiken om het toekomstig gedrag van de kredietportefeuille te voorspellen. Maandelijks ontvangen we ook de meest recente informatie over het gedrag van de kredietenportefeuille en dit stelt ons in staat om op regelmatige basis te controleren of onze voorspellingen bevestigd worden en/of we aanpassingen dienen te doen. De jarenlange ervaring om op een data-driven manier inzichten te verwerven in de belangrijkste processen binnen de bank geeft het Risk Analytics team een unieke plaats om deze technieken ook in te zetten binnen andere domeinen binnen risicomanagement (bv. fraude management, anti-witwas management).

Dan is de functie van Risk Data Scientist jouw ideale job van morgen. De volgende activiteiten staan centraal:

- Als team ervoor zorgen dat de ontwikkelde credit risicomodellen op regelmatige basis onderhouden worden waarbij op tijd en stond grondiger gekeken wordt of deze modellen kunnen verbeterd worden
- Predictieve modeltechnieken toepassen op verschillende gebieden van risicomanagement
- Ambassadeur zijn binnen de bank betreffende analytical excellence door over departementen heen het belang van dergelijke activiteiten in de verf te zetten en zo verdere kruisbestuiving te promoten

**Jouw troeven
- Een kwantitatief en/of economisch georiënteerde masteropleiding: handelsingenieur, statistiek, econometrie, burgerlijk ingenieur, wiskunde e.a.
- Bij voorkeur een relevante ervaring (1-3 jaar) in risicomanagement of gelijkaardig.
- Nieuwsgierig en kritisch constructieve geest om bestaande rapporteringsprocessen in vraag te stellen en te verbeteren
- Creativiteit, flexibiliteit en uitstekend prioriteitenbeheer.
- Ervaring met dataplatformen die het mogelijk maken om grote brokken van informatie te ontsluiten voor analytical activiteiten (bv. cloud platforms, data lakes)
- Kennis van SAS is zeker een pluspunt maar algemene kennis/interesse in analytical software is een must (bv. R, Python)
- Zeer goed onderlegd in MS Office.
- Goede kennis van het Engels en het Nederlands of Frans, tweede landstaal is een troef.
