Direct management of the Finance team in Leuven, setting objectives for team members, monitoring performance, and ensuring that correct resources are available to achieve team objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, intercompany and financial reporting.
- Take responsibility for month-end reporting for all Luciad entities within the reporting timetable, and deal with associated queries.
- Ensure compliance with both IFRS and local accounting standards and regulations, as well as local tax regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Accounting and Order Admin teams based in Warsaw, to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and other financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports as requested by Hexagon management.
- Support Legal, HR and other departments as necessary when Finance involvement is required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including the Luciad Transfer Pricing policy.
- Maintain and promote internal controls within the Finance environment.
- Review and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
- Participate in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process.
- Work with external auditors during the year-end audits and ensure compliance with local audit requirements.
- Manage a series of tax responsibilities including tax incentives & opportunties, tax position monitoring of the group and annual tax return preparation, in collaboration with the external tax advisors.
- Oversee the group cash position and take the lead for credit control.
- Lead the relationship with the banks, organize and approve online bank payments, and ensure suppliers are paid according to terms.
- Take responsibility for statutory reporting as required, e.g. VAT
- You hold a University or Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Law, Economics or a similar area, or a professional accounting qualification
- You have at least 7+ years accounting experience, including experience leading a team, and preferably in a multinational environment
- You have a strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards and regulations
- You value effective teamwork and display effective leadership skills
- You display strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building trusted relationships with teams across different locations
- You demonstrate a high level of integrity
- You have a strong knowledge in both written and verbal Dutch and English. Other languages are an advantage
