**Solution Arquitect - Software Developer Solutions**

THE ROLE:
Parallels is famous for its Parallels Desktop for Mac product. It is a virtualization product that enables running Windows, Linux, or macOS operating systems in virtual machines. The flexible design makes the product useful for not tech-savvy customers, IT professionals, software developers, and enterprises. It seems that Parallels has everything from one-click Windows installation to CLI and SDK capabilities to business customers’ portal. But we believe that you can make it even better.

As a Solution Architect for software developer solutions, you will become an expert in macOS developers’ workflows that involve or benefit from virtualization. You will talk with customers, participate in the development community, and get hands-on with tools and workflows. With your knowledge, you will be able to guide incremental product improvements, implement your own tools and solutions, and spin off new product initiatives.

This role is cross-functional between product, engineering, and customer success. You should be excited about taking feedback, modest enough to be wrong in your assumptions, and come up with the best solutions to real problems. You will write code, solution guides, and product requirements. Being passionate about virtualization, DevOps, software development, testing, and security will help you a lot on this journey.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Learn how developers do their job on the Mac today and their struggles.
- Learn software development-related technologies, today’s approaches, and emerging trends.
- Document and present your learnings to the product, marketing, engineering, and customers.
- Prioritize new challenges to solve and existing solutions to maintain.
- Write code and code samples to help software developers use Parallels-based products.
- Create solutions and guides to help customers optimize their development workflows with Parallels-based products.
- Work with product and engineering to improve or create products that will help developers achieve their goals in a better way.
- Maintain existing Parallels based solutions, including automation of this activity.

YOU:
Required skills and experience:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
- 5+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years of experience in software development that includes virtualization
- Proficiency with command line and scripting languages
- Experience creating and maintaining efficient developers’ workflows
- Content creating skills: requirements, specifications, diagrams, reports

Not required, but definitely nice to have:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with macOS virtualization and Parallels Desktop
- Experience developing Windows, Linux, macOS, Chrome OS, iOS, and Android software.
- Strong experience with some or all of these languages: Python, Go, Ruby, and shell.
- Experience with Vagrant, Packer, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Ansible.
- Experience in Cybersecurity.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
