Purchasing Manager

**About Teledyne ICM**

Teledyne ICM is located in the “Zoning des Plenesses”, 20 minutes from Liège.

**Context**

Teledyne ICM’s purchasing manager is part of the production team and reports directly to the manufacturing director. The production team includes more than fifteen people, operators, technicians, engineers, a storekeeper, a manufacturing manager and a purchasing manager. The production workshop includes a warehouse with more than 3000 different items.

**Your job**
- Purchasing process management
- Search for potential suppliers
- Compare and evaluate supplier offers
- Negotiate contractual terms of agreements and pricing
- Track orders and ensure prompt delivery
- Monitor stock levels and place orders according to the needs expressed by the ERP system (in close collaboration with the production team to define priorities)
- Enter order details (eg suppliers, quantities, prices) into the SAP database
- Maintain the SAP database (purchase info records )
- Cross-check of invoices with the financial team
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyzes
- Inventory management

**Essential skills**
- Professional experience of at least 5 years as a purchasing manager or in a similar position
- Good knowledge of supplier procurement practices (find, evaluate and keep a good connection with suppliers)
- Good knowledge of ERP systems to manage purchases
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Analytical skills, with the ability to prepare reports (SAP or excel)
- Negotiation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration or in a relevant field
- Fluent in French and English
- Autonomous, sociable, and committed

**Desirable skills**
- Experience with technology products
- Experience in purchasing electronic components
- Experience in purchasing mechanical parts
- Knowledge of the SAP purchasing module
