**Positioning of the job**
The Proximus Corporate Finance & Treasury team is the place where we manage the group’s liquidity, funding and capital allocation by ensuring the operations has the capital it needs to manage its day-to-day activities, while developing the long term financial strategy & policies.
We ensure the company always has sufficient liquidity to meet the financial obligations of the Group and we manage financial market risks with due diligence.
In a nutshell: our mission is to ensure that the right amounts are always available in the right currency, at the right time, in the right place, and at the right cost, in order to maximize profits and minimize financial costs.
We are one of the smaller and lesser-known teams in the Group Finance community, but we are on the crossroads of all finance disciplines that serves the entire group and we are in constant contact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Today, we are looking for a new Financial Markets Manager to complete the team.
**Role description & responsibilities**
The Financial Markets Manager will **coordinate the external financing** **& refinancing** **globally**, in interaction with other functional areas such as Treasury, Tax, Business Partners and Accounting to respond to the needs of the business to deliver on Proximus’ strategy and needs.
You will **monitor Financial Markets and help on strategy design **for Loan and Debt Capital Markets. At the same time, you will be the ESG financing champion by integrating and promoting sustainable finance throughout all funding and investment decisions.
You will ensure an **optimal Credit Rating** for the Proximus Group and its affiliates (where appropriate) by managing the relationship and dialogue with the credit rating agencies.
You will recommend and execute **Asset Allocation strategies **for entities that enjoy long term financial assets in order to balance a sound risk/return policy.
Actively contribute and support in the identification of optimized financing and liquidity schemes:
- Support the execution of fund-raising exercises and business-related financing, including syndication of credit facilities, debt issuance and local bank bilaterals.;
- Monitor debt maturities and anticipate refinancing;
- Work in close cooperation with Corporate Treasury, Corporate Tax, Group Accounting, Business Partners and Legal teams in the documentation and implementation of intercompany financing in a timely and cost effective basis;
- Preserve an intimate knowledge of rating agencies methodology, develop and keep-up-to-date internal model allowing to foresee credit metrics impacts;
- Maintain an active dialogue with financial markets and bank partners
- Act as a back-up of the Corporate Finance & Treasury Lead
You will handle the following **responsibilities**:
**Financial Markets**
- Financing Management - proactively manage global long-term debt portfolios, bank credit facilities, cash investments and support the long term cash flow forecasting processes
- In cooperation with Tax, recommend and implement appropriate local financing/capital structure given capital deployment opportunities, forecasted economic trends, business unit performance/business growth and corporate finance initiatives
- Monitor financial markets to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and provide recommendations to adapt the funding strategy to financial markets evolution
- Assist and support Group Finance in the development of financial policies to include liquidity analysis, debt leverage, and other capital allocation analysis and strategies
- Risk Management: recommend and implement interest rate hedging strategies and other macro-economic hedging strategies (e.g. inflation, real estate rentals,)
- Work closely with the accounting department to provide support in relation with the booking of the funding and hedging transactions in compliance with IFRS and Belgian GAAP
- Merger & Acquisitions: Perform Due Diligence as required. Execute M&A funding structuring and rating advisory when applicable
- Recommend and support funding ESG initiatives
- Provide financing expertise and advisory for corporate and business initiatives
**Working Capital Enhancements**
- Optimise (business) working capital, liquidity and Free Cash Flow by identifying and putting in place structures that allow to enhance the group’s capital structure and funding sources.
**Credit rating**
- Contribute in the dialogue with Rating Agencies, including regular communications, ad-hoc requests and annual review meetings;
- Be the expert on rating agency
