**BUSINESS CONTROLLER - ARDENT INVEST**
Since 2018, the Family Office Ardent Invest has been growing and developing its offer and services.
Although originally sourced in real estate, which remains its key focus, its current portfolio is highly diversified through several industries as energy-saving solutions, hospitality, beer, digital signage, fintech, etc. Ardent Invest now develops its strategy around three pillars: Real Estate & Related Services,
Energy Optimization Services and Hospitality & Leisure.
The current finance and accounting department (6 people) of Ardent Invest takes care of its majority stake companies. Again, these ones are diversified
- Real Estate Development (100+ residential units to be delivered / year)
- Real Estate Retail (15+ companies owning 47.000+ sqm of retail park units)
- A business center operation of 11.000 sqm
- Tripick beer commercialization
- A 102-key hotel (and another one coming), a restaurant, several AirBnB units
- A digital payment service provider
- A digital signage company
- An energy-saving re-lamping company
To support its fast development, Ardent Invest Financial team is looking for a **business controller**. A new position in our organization that will offer you a lot of opportunities to develop your role.
**Your role**
In close collaboration with the Investment Director and the Head of Accounting (ITAA), you will lead many initiatives to support our professionalization of processes of reporting, budget consolidation, as our assistance to the companies.
REPORTING a. You will be in charge of the monthly and annual reporting of the different companies:
- maintain, and if possible, improve existing reporting
- create and implement new ones.
We have recently selected a BI tool. You will use it to build and feed the report. b. For the residential development activities, you will be accountable for the reporting of the WIP for every ongoing project. c. You will be responsible for the update of the overview of the bank loans.
d. You will assist the head of accounting in preparing the consolidation reports (at real estate levels): intercompany flows mainly.
ANALYZE & ACT CONSEQUENTLY
Report in a pragmatic way: In case of uncertainties or questioning in figures or in financial/accounting processes of a company, you will deep dive into the situation to understand the causes and ideally propose some solutions.
BUDGETING
With the support of the financial team, you will be in charge of: a. drafting the annual budgets and the business plans of new companies b. drafting the real estate projects financial forecasts c. then, reconciling these financials forecasts with the achieved ones.
**Your Profile**
- Master’s in economics, business or management (with a focus on finance)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a financial auditing or financial controlling position
- Good knowledge of/particular interest in accounting (general and analytical), financial analysis, internal auditing and financial planning
- An interest in new technology is needed
- Master of BI tools is needed
- Proficient in Excel and all its features in expert mode
- Knowledge of ERP is a plus
- An analytical mind and good deductive skills
- Rigorous, responsible and discreet
- Thorough, accurate and methodical
- Autonomous
