Your Profile:
**To be successful in this position, you**:
- have a university degree or higher education in business, purchasing, management
- have more than 18 months experience for a buyer position, or at least 6 years’ experience for a senior buyer
- are results driven and able to break down complex issues into manageable portions
- have highly developed analytical skills, accuracy and reliability
- have good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- can work independently in multi-disciplinary teams
- are computer literate (eg MS Excel, PowerPoint)
- are willing to travel up to 20%
- are fluent in English, another European language is an asset

The Purchasing team at Toyota Motor Europe can offer you this challenge. Located in the heart of Europe, Purchasing Indirect plays a key strategic role in the development of our future products, services. As a buyer you will develop and manage all aspects of the commercial relationship between Toyota and its suppliers, located all over Europe and the world. This position will allow you to have an insight into the most recent technical innovations and will enable you to get a deep understanding of how a leading multinational operates and interacts with numerous internal and external parties.
**Your Responsibilities**:
- You develop and implement category and sourcing strategies in specific indirect categories of goods and services across Europe
- You negotiate with our suppliers to achieve the best cost, based on specifications required
- You manage all commercial issues related to your portfolio of responsibility
- You are responsible to make appropriate supplier selection recommendations to senior management.
- You develop comprehensive understanding of technological and market trends within the automotive industry and in other businesses.
- You work with Global Toyota Purchasing. You will develop commodity strategies at regional level and have direct input towards global strategies.
