Our client is a global fashion company with a European Headquarter in Antwerp.
The **main accountabilities** for this job include:
Reporting into the Director FP&A EMEA this role supports the Brand Finance team and FP&A organization.
The DTC analyst is the financial operational business partner and primary financial contact for the Brand DTC Management and its Team.
This position owns the core financial processes including areas of:
- actuals processing, forecast, budgets and strategic planning;
- together with financial brand analysis and reporting for own stores, outlets, e-com and (digital) concessions;

Management support
- Provide support to Brand Retail Management team covering areas such as:
- Margin vs. Revenue trade off with regard to in store promotions and merchandising decisions
- Financial performance of stores and digital platforms in terms of sales and profitability
- Creation of simulations and capital request document for new stores or digital platforms, extensions of leases or refurbishments (and related tracking)
- Validate monthly revenue statements (to calculate turnover rents)
- Other ad-hoc requests as required
Weekly Reporting:
- Review of weekly/daily sales reports by channel (full-price stores, outlets, e-commerce and (digital) concessions) to identify key trends
- Identify and asses opportunities or risks based on trends and align with DTC, Finance and Brand Management
- Pepare & distribuite ad-hoc KPI reports
Monthly Actuals review:
- Review of sales by channel and define and explain variances to forecast, plan and last year
- Ensure that variances to forecast, plan and last year are investigated and reported to management as appropriate
- Ensure that consistent accounting treatments, based on US GAAP, are applied
- Prepare monthly reporting package to DTC, Finance and Brand Management teams
Monthly forecast / Annual Budget process:
- Create store-level based forecast/budget (in SAP S4 and Group Reporting) in accordance with the agreed corporate calendars for sales, margin and 4-wall/direct expenses, as well as relevant information (e.g. store openings/closures)
- Assist in preparation of forecast/budget decks to facilitate management reviews with the retail department and finance and brand management
- Based on forecast and actual trends prepare summaries of risks and opportunities to help identify areas where management intervention is required or opportunities for best practice sharing
- Involvement in creation of plan and forecast review decks for review meetings
The requested qualifications for this job include:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
- Accounting degree/knowledge preferable
- 3 to 5 years of experience in retail controlling, budgeting and reporting, preferably in multinational environment under US GAAP
- Language skills: Proficient in English, spoken as well as written. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus
- Previous experience within a Retail/DTC finance organization preferred
- Experience with SAP S4 and Group Reporting is a plus
- Cognos Experience is a plus
- Good working knowledge of computer systems with emphasis on MS Office software and SAP S4
- Good Excel skills are essential
- Ability to work to a high level of detail and accuracy whilst maintaining perspective as to overall goals/result
- Excellent analytical and data handling skills including the ability to present numbers in a concise and value adding manner
- Good communication skills incl. experience of working with people from a non-financial background
- Experience of working in a customer facing team environment
- Knowledge of SOX and US accounting principles is an advantage
