- Overall purpose _
To communicate on the client's important role in: protecting the EU budget; ensuring that EU taxpayers’ money reaches projects that can stimulate the creation of jobs and growth with an extra focus on protecting the unprecedented amounts of EU funds meant for economic and social recovery following the coronavirus pandemic (RRF); and strengthening citizens’ trust in the EU institutions and the entire EU project
- Specific tasks_
- Draft new or edit existing editorial content (e.g. articles, interviews, speeches, briefings, news, publications, blogs, vlogs, scripts) related to the client’s work in its many facets (customs, VAT fraud, anti-fraud policy, international agreements, coordination with other bodies, etc)
- Coordinate and collect information from various stakeholders and provide other related editorial services (such as coordination of editorial tasks and desk research)
- Develop, design, manage or participate in external and internal information and communication projects and actions in order to inform and promote activities of the client (e.g. assistance in the organisation of ad hoc events)
- Develop / edit content and dissemination strategies for existing client's social media channels, as well as for other channels and other senior staff (where appropriate)
- Identify and build target audiences per channel & help develop KPIs to monitor progress
- Coordinate content development with colleagues working in the communication sector to ensure consistency of messages while tailoring content to relevant audiences
- Ensure consistency of message and style across multiple channels
- Given the investigative nature of the client's work, an ability to work with sometimes limited information is necessary, as is a high level of discretion and trust. _
