To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Communication Specialist for Legal & Regulatory (LR) Belgium. The Senior Communications Specialist manages projects and initiatives and executes plans and activities for predominantly internal and some (local) external communication in LR’s Benelux Business Unit (BU), with a focus on the Belgian market. The Senior Communications Specialist reports into the Corporate Affairs and Communications Manager, LR Benelux.

In this role, you will support the Corporate Affairs and Communications Manager LR Benelux in (co-) developing and executing the internal and external communication strategy and plans for the LR Benelux Business Unit. You play a key role in driving employee engagement through effective internal communications, ensuring Benelux staff timely receive relevant information about corporate, divisional and BU-level affairs, through the right mix of channels, with the right frequency. To do this successfully, you keep close ties with members of the Benelux Executive Team and functional leaders (e.g. Marketing, HR)..

**Responsibilities**:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include:

- Internal:_
- Provide ongoing internal communications support to meet the needs of the BU.
- Support and execute proactive internal communications programs that align with BU strategy and goals/objectives, focusing on Belgium.
- Formulate agenda and design presentation materials for high-quality, effective BU Town Hall meetings and support the Corporate affairs & Comms Manager for LR Benelux with division CEO town halls; coordinate logistics with internal technical staff and resources to ensure a seamless experience.
- Build and maintain compelling BU intranet site(s); analyze usage statistics and drive internal traffic.
- Leverage interactive channels (e.g. Teams, Viva Engage, Narrowcasting) to engage employees.
- Support LR- and company-wide communication programs in partnership with other BU Comms Leads and the LR VP Brand & Communications.
- Lead the development and delivery of consistent and effective internal messaging.
- Develop local employee engagement initiatives, based on the GBCM-level employee engagement programs.
- Identify and implement innovative ways to boost employee engagement in BU.
- Support internal communications initiatives around annual Our Enterprise survey.
- Assist LR Benelux Corporate Affairs & Comms manager with employee events in cooperation with BU leadership and HR.

- Contribute to the implementation and execution of social media content creation.
- Support alignment with Wolters Kluwer corporate communications, social media and brand guidance.

Your profile:

- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Communication or a related field.
- Preferably more than 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven track record in supporting and guiding result-oriented communication programs that promote employee engagement and business performance.

Competencies:

- Excellent internal and external communication skills, including analytical, interpersonal, written, oral, social media communication skills. Ability to tailor messaging persuasively and efficiently to various audiences.
- Demonstrably able to take initiative, be proactive, and work independently.
- Able to develop and execute communication plans that drive business professionals.
- Excellent command of Dutch, French, and English.
- Global/local mindset - able to promote global goals by aligning local communication.
- Team player - able to operate independently, but seeks guidance from and alignment with BUs senior leaders, marketing and HR, LR-wide communications colleagues, and GBCM colleagues when appropriate.
- Ability to navigate a matrix organization.
- Clear sense of urgency and ownership to drive tasks to completion.
