**YOUR TASKS**

For the Language Education service (EB58) within the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, we are looking for a 60% English language instructor for a temporary replacement.

You are responsible for the practice-oriented education in the Bachelor programs of Business Administration and Public Administration and Management for the courses Economic English I and English Level I (approximately 7 groups).

This includes:

- Teaching (lectures and seminars) 7 groups in the courses Economic English I and English Level I
- Critically evaluating, renewing, and updating existing teaching materials (syllabus and online learning paths) in consultation with colleagues
- Developing and implementing new teaching methods
- Providing feedback and evaluating students
- Monitoring discussion forums and announcements

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- You hold a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Literature (English), a Master's in Translation/Interpretation (English), or a Master's in Multilingual Communication (English), or an equivalent diploma.
- You have a thorough knowledge of the English language and excellent communication skills.
- You have good teaching skills.
- You are IT proficient and interested in educational innovation.
- Preferably, you have:

- A teaching diploma or certificate.
- Demonstrable (practical) teaching experience in Higher Education.
- Experience in guiding students.
- You take initiative and know how to motivate and persuade students and your colleagues.
- You are flexible in terms of varying tasks and workload throughout the semester.

**WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU**
- We offer you a contract of definite duration for a period of 3 months
- Your contract will start on 16/09/2024 at the earliest.
- Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate). Click here for more information about our salary scales.
