What you will contribute*
Fastned is expanding its network of fast charging stations in Belgium and is looking to strengthen the local team with a* Project Manager Constructio**n**, in our office conveniently located at the Martelaarslaan in Ghent.
As the **Project Manager Construction**, you will be an integral part of an experienced and international team and you will deal with all aspects of delivering high quality charging stations across Belgium. In this role, you are working in close cooperation with the architect, the construction manager and the network development manager.
The responsibilities include the acquisition of building permits, the realisation of grid connections, as well as the material supply and planning for the construction. You will monitor the schedules and budgets and coordinate with numerous external stakeholders from Belgium and abroad. This role will regularly take you to visit business partners or construction sites, where you will be able to demonstrate negotiation skills, a hands-on mentality, high quality standards and an eye for details.

You are a real team player and you have the ability to think on your own feet - you feel comfortable taking initiative and responsibility. You are not afraid to make mistakes and you are always keen to keep on learning. “Think like a founder” is something you identify easily with. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:
- Degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering or business;
- Strong technical affinity,
- Ability to work structured and prioritize your tasks efficiently;
- Strong negotiation and communication skills;
- Excellent organisational skills and a high level of initiative;
- Good ethic of progress reporting and data management;
- Willingness to travel within Belgium and the Netherlands;
- (Near-)native level of Dutch or French language + business level in English and French or Dutch are a must;
- Driving license;
- A genuine interest in the energy transition and Fastned’s mission.
Nice to haves:
- Experience with construction, grid infrastructure, purchasing or electromobility is a plus;
- Previous work experience in a similar role.
