**Purpose and reason for the existence of the job**

Vestas Wind Systems is a global Wind Turbine manufacturer with over 100 GW of installed Wind Turbines across 79 countries. Vestas sells, constructs and services Wind Turbines around the world. Globally Vestas employs around 29.000 employees.

Vestas Belgium NV is a local Sales Business Unit (SBU) with its main office in Houthalen-Helchteren. The SBU sells, constructs and services Onshore Wind Turbines. The Belgium organization employs approximately 50 employees.

**Responsibilities**:
Safety:

- Prepare and deliver Toolbox meetings
- Conduct Safety related conversations and meetings with a team according to Vestas' Safety Policy and Safety programs.
- Take ownership regarding safety, work responsibility, toolbox and periodical work place inspections within the Service Region in cooperation with Area Supervisor.
- Being responsible for Safety Walks, Workplace Inspections, Incident Management System reporting.

Employees:

- Develop a broad practical knowledge of the Vestas procedures for the employees in the region.
- Perform periodical CPD's with the technicians in your team.
- Provide input regarding the education plan for the employees in the region and assign employees to trainings in close cooperation with the Service Coordinator.
- Coaching of Service Technicians and act as a contact point for the Service Technicians in your team. Develop the technicians within Vestas.
- Take ownership of recruitment process according to capacity needs, maintaining employee's contracts, extending and termination of it.
- Being responsible for onboarding and offboarding process of employees.
- Responsible for reporting into the sick portal.
- Responsible for the approval of holidays

Technical:

- Responsible for the Quality & safety of own technicians and sub-contractors.
- Responsible for the Quality & safety check of drop offs and Service Vehicles.
- Responsible for the Quality & safety check of work performed on turbines.

Administration:

- Analyze the LPF development in the region and take appropriate measures in cooperation with the Area Manager, Field supervisor verifying the LPF allocation between Vestas and the customer towards the TPRC department.
- Accountability of initiating the process of creatng and processing Purchase Requisitions & Orders if needed.
- First point of contact for the CRM department regarding operational complaints.
- Check and approve registered working hours for the technicians in your team in a timely manner.
- Respect local legislation and safety rules.

Process optimization:

- Act as a sparring partner for the Area Supervisor and back office.
- Pro-actively identify and work on improvement projects, both technically and financially.
- To carry out, support and explain the Service strategy of the organization to the assigned service technicians.
- Coaching and supporting technicians with yearly stock counts.
- Actively monitor the progress, costs and efficiency of all stock related activities in the local drop offs.
- Actively discuss improvement projects with other Field supervisors.
- Actively work on cost-out initiatives.
- Escalate to Area Supervisors are line responsible if appropriate.

Operational:

- Actively monitor contractual availability and Lost Production Factor (LPF).
- Take over operational tasks from Area Supervisors when absent.
- Check the execution of all Service related activities according to the guidelines and processes.
- Responsible for long term resource availability.
- Supervise and report to Area Supervisor the progress, effectivity, efficiency and safety of the activities performed.
- Introduce and support new employees within the Service Region.

Process improvement:

- Emphasize a uniform mentality and way of working within the technicians group
- Identify, participate, take ownership and implement improvement plans and processes (i.e. LEAN)

**Qualifications**
- Technical Bachelor work and intellectual level
- Qualified user in MS office
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Knowledge of organizational processes and systems
- Proficient in Dutch and English
- Relevant safety courses
- Experience with working within a multinational
- Experience as supervisor in the wind industry
- Located max. 50 km from Maldegem or Loenhout
