**YOUR CHALLENGES**

As Financial Controller, you are responsible for the financial follow-up of a portfolio of companies in Belgium and abroad.

What this means specifically:

- Follow up and review the monthly closing activities carried out by the local finance teams
- Perform complex calculations and estimates + complex bookings
- Answering questions from Senior Management about the monthly figures
- Taking a critical look at the monthly figures
- Work across departments (business controlling, A/R, A/P, HR)
- Build in/monitor standardization and checks within the closing process
- Preparing financial statements and other legally required documentation

In addition, you will be the first point of contact during external audits and other checks:

- Ensuring compliance
- Preparation of financial audits
- First point of contact for financial audit questions
- Support with other audits (NSSO, VAT, corporate tax)

Finally, you handle ad hoc finance-related complex topics, such as:

- Mergers/divisions
- Optimization processes in the affiliations and the SSC
- Setting up working procedures, internal controls,
- From the G/L role support the implementation of new accounting related systems

**YOUR TALENTS**
- You have a master’s level of thinking and at least five years of accounting experience
- You cast your analytical and critical eye on the current processes to optimize working methods
- You are constantly looking for additional information and new insights and you can analyze and process these in a short period of time
