- The mission of the **EHS Associate** is to:

- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, environmental and safety requirements.
- Proactively drive and sustain a strong EHS culture throughout the Company by assisting in the development and implementation of effective EHS Programs.
- Monitor the implementation, efficiency and direction of the EHS Programs in line with the Company Strategy.
- Define and Develop Key Performance Indicators allowing the business to proactively drive EHS Performance.
You will be responsible for all Business Units (RadioPharma Solutions, Protontherapy and Industrial Solutions).
The job is based in Europe (ideally in Belgium).

**Challenges we trust you with**
- As **EHS Associate**, your responsibilities will be to:

- Identify and maintain EHS legal registers.
- Support IBA’s Business Units in the necessary actions and activities to maintain EHS compliance.
- Conduct EHS inspections and risk assessments.
- Participate in design review and integration of safety standards from a product point of view.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to safety, health, and environmental programs.
- Develop EHS training content and communication tools for increased awareness and practical approach.
- Review IBA manuals and procedures from an EHS perspective.
- Follow the EHS incident reporting - monthly dashboard of high-priority incidents and their monitoring.
- Contribute to the development and distribution of routine EHS KPIs.
- Encourage and widen the use of EHS SharePoint as a communication tool for best practices and information gathering.
- Assist the Environment Coordinator in identifying and implementing the legal requirements for environmental aspects.

**What we value**

**You have**:

- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in any field or an associate degree in safety, health or the environment.
- From 3 to 5 years of experience in EHS or related work experience
- Good knowledge of core EHS principles
- Good understanding of industry best practices
In Belgium, you are "Conseiller en prévention" level 3 or 2. In an other country, a similar certification is required.

- Able to successfully communicate and establish work relationships within all the organization
- Problem-solving oriented
- Able to negotiate and influence
- Able to create awareness and compliance environment
- Fluent in English, French is an asset
- Willing to travel abroad
