Customs Director

As a Customs Director you provide direction and support to the Customs Management team responsible for the implementation of customs & trade compliance and import/export production strategy, in line with business objectives, corporate guidelines and policies and national and international regulations. You lead the team of Customs Production, Compliance, Operations, Regulatory Affairs and Customs Support Managers and support the Regional Team. You’ll be part of the BRUHUB SMT, representing the company at Customs on a national and international level.

**WHAT ARE YOUR TASKS?**:
- Provide direction when developing customs & trade compliance strategy, in line with business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies.- Connect, develop relations and liaise with counterparts in customs authorities and government bodies.- Support the Sort Operations and Network in order to make the company successful.- Contribute and provide direction when developing processes and procedures, adhering to the compliance standards, legal requirements and UCC legislation.- Budget preparation and justification.- Lead the Customs Management Team and Specialists.

**WHO ARE YOU?**:
- You have a Bachelors degree, or similar through experience.- You have 10 years experience in a Customs related function.- You have a proven track record in building, guiding and coaching teams, preferably in a full-continuous work environment.- You are a strong communicator within the organization.- You have excellent customer orientation and business acumen.- You are well-versed in shaping direction, with an emphasis on strategic and provident thinking.- You have solid experience in project and change management.- You know how you can constructively challenge the status-quo to facilitate and promote change.- You are experienced in building and managing partnerships within DHL and towards external parties.- You are fluent in Dutch, English and French.
