**Pauwels Transformers NV** is the well known manufacturer of three-phase transformers on the Belgian market. Established some 60 years ago, Pauwels is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the listed Electrical Industries Limited Group, an important industrial conglomerate that has become a prominent challenger on the transmission and distribution market.
Pauwels is one of the world leaders in the design and manufacturing of innovative three-phase distribution and power transformers, and a fast growing in the market of substations, integrated solutions and services. The EIC Group operates manufacturing plants for transformers and switchgear, having more than 14,000 employees.
Following the recent restart of the business and it anticipated growth in Belgium, Mechelen, we are urgently looking for (M/F):
**Purchaser**:
**Your assignment**:
- You discuss and initiate purchase orders and contracts with our suppliers and follow up on them.
- You use the current long-term agreements when entering prices.
- You evaluate stock levels for stock items under your responsibility and launch orders for those stock items.
- You check the bookings in the ERP system in order to have reliable information at all times.
- You detect system errors and/or procedural errors and initiate solutions in an appropriate manner.
- You follow up the various suppliers and make clear agreements regarding delivery reliability and technical deviations.
- You negotiate penalty clauses with suppliers in case of quality issues or late deliveries levering
- You are aware of safety and quality standards when purchasing/stocking goods.
**Profile**:
- You obtained a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent in terms of experience)
- You preferably have several years of logistics experience in a production environment.
- You communicate fluently and assertively and are a punctual person
- You communicate fluently in English.
- You work fluently with Word and Excel, experience with ERP software is an added value.
- You can plan and organize well
- You communicate fluently in the English language, other languages are a plus.
- You are result-oriented and persistent.
