**1 - Werken bij de VUB**:

**2 - Functiebeschrijving**:
Als Projects and Finance Controller bij Brussels School of Governance (BSoG) van de Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) zal je rol tweeledig zijn. Enerzijds fungeer je als contactpersoon tussen het BSoG academisch personeel en de centrale diensten van de VUB (Research & Development, European Liaison Office, TechTransfer, Finance department, etc.) tijdens de verschillende fasen van de projectlevenscyclus. Anderzijds waak je over de financiën van het project, zie je erop toe dat het team op schema zit, en onderhoud je de relatie met de financierende organisatie.
In deze functie ondersteun je de Finance Officer en het BSoG management bij de voorbereiding en opvolging van de begroting. Je werkt onder leiding van de Executive Director.
Een greep uit je takenpakket als Projects and Finance Controller:

- fungeren als aanspreekpunt voor alle financiële vragen van het BSoG management of personeel;
- bijdragen tot een vlotte communicatie tussen en administratieve opvolging met interne en externe stakeholders;
- opvolgen van de project-gerelateerde financiële transacties, i.s.m. de BSoG Finance Officer en de financiële dienst van de VUB;
- opstellen en indienen van financiële verslagen, i.s.m. de BSoG Finance Officer en de financiële dienst van de VUB;
- ervoor zorgen dat de tijdsallocatie correct en tijdig wordt ingediend a.d.h.v. timesheets;
- voorbereiden op interne of externe audits;
- projectgebonden kosten factureren;
- initiëren en coördineren van driemaandelijkse budgetcontroles voor lopende projecten;
- up-to-date overzicht houden van alle projecten op verschillende platformen;
- opstellen en aanleveren van gegevens voor het jaarverslag, strategisch plan, begroting, etc.
- bijdragen tot een vlotte communicatie tussen en administratieve opvolging met interne en externe stakeholders
- bijdragen aan de verbetering van interne financiële procedures.

Voor deze functie zal Brussels Humanities, Sciences & Engineering Campus (Elsene) je thuisbasis worden.

**3 - Profiel**:
Wat verwachten wij van jou?
- We zoeken iemand met minstens een bachelordiploma;
- Bij voorkeur heb je 3 jaar ervaring;
- Je hebt kennis van Europese financieringsprogramma's en regels;
- Je hebt een goede kennis van en/of ervaring met het opmaken van begrotingen en financiële verslagen van extern gefinancierde projecten;
- Je bezit over een hoog verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel en hecht veel waarde aan professionaliteit;
- Je bent oplossingsgericht en pro-actief;
- Je bent nauwgezet;
- Ja kunt zowel in teamverband als zelfstandig te werken;
- Je spreekt en schrijft vlot in het Engels en past je boodschap gemakkelijk aan afhankelijk van je doelpubliek;
- Je hebt goede ICT vaardigheden.

Bijkomende competenties:

- Je hebt professionele ervaring in een internationale en/of academische omgeving;
- Je hebt ervaring met financiële procedures in een universitaire context;
- Je hebt kennis van project management softwares;
- Kennis van het Nederlands is een plus.
