Associate Director

Proclinical are partnering with a pharmaceutical corporation. This role is on a permanent basis. The opening position is for an Associate Director with their main focus being on mRNA Development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle, train and develop a newly built team having high performance, operational brilliance, flexibility and agility.
- Guide a multidisciplinary team with 8-10 direct reports which involves RNA synthesis, purification and analytics up to pilot scale.
- Other duties may be assigned to this role.

**Key Skills and Requirements**:

- Educated to an advanced degree level in a Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering with specialisation in RNA biology, chemistry or similar field.
- At least 4 years of experience in a biotech or biopharma, with at least 4+ years of experience in independent research within a competitive setting in a similar discipline.
- Familiarity within a managerial role with the ability to make decisions.
- Knowledge on end-to-end vision of vaccines product and process development and biomanufacturing of nucleic acids, ideally mRNA.
- Expertise on the pertinent regulatory setting, specifically FDA/ICH/ISPE regulations on risk management, technology transfer and process validation.
