To strengthen our Finance team, based in Limelette, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Finance Controller.

About the role
- As a Finance Controller, you will be a key contributor in the Group Finance team. You will be responsible for preparation, problem solving, analysis and area management of Lhoist HQ & Group Overheads controlling initiatives. You will work in close collaboration with a variety of stakeholders across regions and departments in all aspects of the cost control.

Your role and responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze financial and operational data to monitor the monthly operating results (P&L, FCF, capex) against budgeted targets.-
- Support, improve and consolidate for the Group the budgeting and forecasting cycles with a focus on main business drivers.-
- Assess overall financial situation by reviewing all relevant financial and operational available information and provide recommendations for future business improvement-
- Deliver reports defining and evaluating process problems and recommending solutions to enhance the accuracy of decision support-
- Group IT controlling-
- Providing support to the Group IT Team for the monthly closings, forecast and budget exercises.-
- Group IT Senior Leadership Team Meetings participation-
- Challenging the Group IT stakeholders in all aspects of the cost controlAbout you:
- Master's degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance or Engineering or bachelor’s in accounting with relevant experience.-
- Minimum 2 years of experience as external auditor or financial analyst in a Manufacturing/industrial environment.-
- Strong interest or background for technical & operational, with an ability to identify best practices and the business drivers & pitfalls-
- Balanced between strategic and operational skillsExcellent communication skills with all management levels-
- Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and develop strong relationships-
- Hands on and dedicated. Analytical and accurate while able to keep a holistic/helicopter view-
- Fast learner and eager to grow, can cope with pressure and setbacks-
