R&d Assistant

Overview:
Kemin Food Technologies is searching for an R&D Assistant. You will join the R&D team to discover new molecules and new technological ingredients applicable in human food. You will assist with experiments and field trials, and you may independently perform small research projects. The R&D Assistant shows basic analytical skills and good laboratory practices.

**Responsibilities**:
As the R&D Assistant you will be responsible for developing new and improving existing products. You will:

- Manage assigned R&D projects daily
- Process test results of the various chemical and microbiological analyses (e.g., in excel)
- Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy of results, general laboratory maintenance and keep track of lab supply inventory
- Contribute to good working conditions for the laboratory
- Implement and validate new analytical methodologies
- Draft standard operation procedures and research protocols, with supervision
- Perform data analysis, with supervision

- A bachelor’s degree in science: chemistry, biochemistry, food nutrition or similar
- 1-3 years of experience working in an analytical or microbiology laboratory
- Scientific curiosity and innovative thinking
- Affinity to food
- Hands-on mentality, good organizational and communication skills, flexible
- Must be fluent in English
- Willing to travel if needed
