We are looking for a detail-orientated **tax specialist **to be responsible for tax-related tasks. The tax specialist's responsibilities include **preparing all tax compliance, assisting in audits, and responding to tax correspondence.**

To be successful as a tax specialist, you should be up-to-date with the latest technologies which assist in accounting duties, have an understanding of big data systems, and good communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch tax specialist should have strong analytical skills, pay attention to detail, and the ability to manage your time efficiently.

**Objectives of this role**:

- Assist in developing business and investment strategies for an optimized tax return
- Ensure that corporate tax-return preparation meets all regulatory requirements
- Review operations and procedures to ensure compliance with local statutes and regulations

**RESPONSIBILITIES***:

- Preparation of statutory account and corporate income tax declaration
- Preparation of VAT return and different statutory reporting (Intrastat, Structure surveys, )
- Responsible for IFRS tax compliance
- Conduct research on tax compliance issues at the local and national levels
- Assist external audits

**MUST HAVE***:

- Hands-on experience in tax and statutory accounting
- Degree in Accountancy, Tax or Finance (master or bachelor)
- IFRS Knowledge is a plus
- Stress resistant
- Fluent in English
- Work independently
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sharp attention to detail
- Work permit for Belgium
