- **

Solution Engineering is the equivalent of sales engineering / pre-sales i.e: resources that secure the functional and technical selection of Salesforce relative to alternatives. These resources assist with the Discovery, Solutioning, Demonstration, and Business Value phases of the sales cycle. You will report directly to the Vice President of Cloud Solution Engineering.

**Responsibilities**:

- You will be proficient in client engagement and impact how your customers do business in a constantly evolving environment.
- Participate in strategic deals and support team members to grow the business across the region.
- You will be proficient at the C-Level customers and prospects
- You will develop and evangelise an industry-specific point of view to help our teams and clients grow and transform their business by demonstrating our capabilities and value across Marketing and Commerce
- You will mentor your team to develop in their careers, and encourage them to do the best work of their life
- Drive key initiatives and programs to actively support the teams’ career development and advancement
- You will have or develop a detailed view and understanding of Salesforce’s market-leading Commerce, Marketing and associated technologies and the value that it represents for our customers/prospects
- Be a strategic sparring and business partner for our head of sales in the region for marketing and commerce.
- Balance your focus and effort between short term objectives with a long-term strategic plan for our teams.
- Monitor and analyse the solution engineering operations on a regular basis to identify areas of improvement.
- Support the Solution Engineering team by providing mentorship on sales strategies, approaches to tackle specific problems, as well as represent their team’s needs to executive staff.

**Required Skills**:

- Especially strong business and technology acumen. You understand the social, economic and technology trends that are shaping our lives, and you can succinctly articulate a vision for how Salesforce can make a meaningful and highly differentiated contribution to the success of our customers
- Extensive experience and a consistent and proven record of success selling complex enterprise technology solutions to both business and technology stakeholders
- You have a strong executive presence and you are comfortable engaging at all levels of your customers’ organisation
- You will have experience leading Solution Engineering teams, including their respective go-to-market strategies.
- You will have experience and perspective across all segments of the go-to-market including our largest enterprise accounts down to our emerging small business accounts
- A proven track record of success by partnering with Sales stakeholders to achieve revenue objectives.
- You should be proficient with Marketing and Commerce technologies and must be able to present to a business or technical audience.
- You will possess good analytical capabilities, be organised and able to work on many tasks at the same time.
- Able to communicate equally with internal resources such as Sales Management, Product Marketing, Development, and Customer Success to gain dedication and support.
- Must have good fundamental sales skills (Value and Solution Selling) and strong leadership skills
- 2nd line management experience will be considered a strong advantage

- Fluent in written and spoken English
