Lawter is een toonaangevend wereldwijd chemisch bedrijf en onderdeel van Harima Chemicals Inc., Tegenwoordig is Lawter leverancier voor de grafische industrie, kleefstoffen, speciale coatings, aromachemicaliën en de synthetische rubberindustrie. Lawter is actief in meer dan 20 landen met 8 productiecentra en 5 technologiecentra.
Voor ons hoofdkantoor in Europa (Kallo - België), zijn wij op zoek naar een:
**Quality Control Chemist (tijdelijke opdracht) M/V/X**
**Functie**:
Als QC chemist borg je de kwaliteit van eindproducten door het uitvoeren van fysische analyses op productmonsters, indien nodig bepalen van correcties van productieparameters en bij te dragen aan de rentabiliteit van de productieprocessen volgens bedrijfsvereisten.
**Functievereisten**:
- Je hebt een diepgaande kennis van producten, grondstoffen en (kritische) productieprocessen.
- Je hebt een goede kennis van chemie en chemische toepassingen.
- Je hebt een Toegepaste kennis van de geldende wettelijke en andere EHS vereisten en bedrijfsvoorschriften.
- Je bedient labo-apparatuur, stelt ze in en kalibreert.
- Je hebt een fijne motoriek bij het voorbereiden van stalen, het uitvoeren van analyses en afwegen van kritische chemische grondstoffen.
- Je gebruikt PC, randapparatuur, office-toepassingen en bedrijfsspecifieke software.
- Je geeft leiding: vaktechnisch instrueren van productieoperatoren bij staalname of bijsturingen in de productieprocessen.
- Je overlegt intern met de (Assistant) QC Manager, R&D Chemist, Production Manager, CRO en shift supervisor omtrent verloop en bijsturingen van de productieprocessen; je geeft aanwijzingen aan tankwagenoperatoren (mbt vrijgave product voor laden/lossen), productieoperatoren (bijsturingen in proces) en magazijnmedewerkers (staalname van verpakte materialen); uitvoeren van shiftoverdracht, mondeling en schriftelijk, aan collega’s en shift supervisor, e.e.a. in het Nederlands en het Engels.
