**Medical Science Liaison Oncology**
**Job Overview**:
- Provide local country field-based support from the medical function in order to achieve the company’s goals.
- Identify and develop strong sustainable peer-to-peer relationships with external stakeholders to support the medical/scientific credibility of Takeda, including high profile key scientific and clinical experts
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Proactively identity and develop strong sustainable peer-to-peer relationships with opinion leaders and other relevant stakeholders to support the medical/scientific credibility of Takeda,
- Be the primary contact person for external stakeholders : national and local key established and rising scientific and clinical experts/ international/EUCAN key scientific and clinical experts ; healthcare providers (HCP’s)
- Act as a scientific and medical product specialist, including safety expertise for the products allocated to you
- Ensure that Medical to Medical communication between Medical Affairs (LOC and EUCAN) and the local specialist medical community occurs within desirable timelines and with high technical quality
- Use specific disease and product knowledge to develop Takeda ; i.e. answer medical/technical enquiries from HCP’s, provide accurate and non-promotional scientific information relating to licensed and unlicensed indications following unsolicited requests from HCP’s,etc
- Support of ongoing and future company sponsored trials i.e. liaison between clinical operations and study sites, identification of appropriate trial centres
- Act as field-based reference points of scientific and clinical expertise for sales force and other internal stakeholders (e.g. Market Access) through training and ad hoc support, in alignment with Takeda project teams
- Respond to requests for investigator-initiated sponsored research in line with company procedure
- Develop and support of national disease registries and medical congresses as appropriate
- Capture and share in-field insights including current treatment paradigm and anticipated key future changes to support medical and scientific strategy and business development
- Participate in the development and implementation of key medical activities (e.g. Advisory Boards, medical education and peer-to-peer training activities)
- Provide clinical presentations and medical information as necessary
**Education, Experience & Skills**:
- PhD in a relevant scientific field or pharmacist
- Experience of working in a matrix management environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Language skills: Dutch, French, English (excellent oral and written skills)
- Experience in the therapy area is a plus
- Experience of working with scientific and clinical experts at all levels in both 1:1 and group settings
- MSL or equivalent medical experience is a plus
- Ability to work at a high scientific and clinical technical level to ensure quality peer-to-peer engagement with external stakeholders
- Clear and concise presentation of clinical data, including discussion of statistical and clinical relevance in line with key messages
- Autonomous, in-field work whilst contributing to central Medical Affairs
- Project management skills to manage milestones and deliver tasks within the defined timeframe
- Excellent presentation and rhetoric skills
- You understand the overall audit process including design, conduct and reporting
- You are able to influence at high level
- You are independent and self motivated
- You are creative and flexible
