Husqvarna Belgium has its head office located in Ghislenghien (Ath). This site is part of the Husqvarna Construction division, which is the world leader in machines and diamond tools for the stone and construction industry. In Ath, 150 colleagues are responsible for the development, production and marketing of diamond tools.
Husqvarna has also commercial offices in Zaventem, for its Gardena and Husqvarna Forest & Garden divisions.
**Job Description**:
Search for a Safety & Security Manager to replace the current manager, who will soon retire.
The function is focused on Occupational Health and Safety, as well as Security. The role of Prevention Advisor is part of the job. It is a full-time position.
You will mainly work from our site in Ghislenghien (Ath), but are willing to visit our other Belgian site in Zaventem.
You report directly to the Human Resources Director, with a dotted line report to the Site Manager.
Main missions
Safety
- You put into practice the different missions of the Prevention Advisor.
- You manage the organization's dynamic risk management system.
- You actively participate in building a culture where safety and well-being are supported by everyone and stimulate and create a culture of conscious and safe working. You will promote prevention among workers.
- You identify, analyze and evaluate hazards and risks at work in order to propose measures necessary to minimize and/or eliminate risks. You address specific safety issues.
- You coordinate projects relating to a specific prevention theme in order to provide safety improvements.
- You analyze incidents and occupational accidents and identify their causes in order to develop guidelines for the well-being policy and to propose an efficient and dynamic risk management system. You follow up on occupational accidents and statistics.
- You continually stay informed about legislation and developments in the field of prevention and safety at work to keep your knowledge up to date according to new developments in order to provide a continuously updated service, compliant with standards and legal measures in force.
- You work together with the various stakeholders within the organization to guarantee the safety of our employees and visitors.
- You have an active role in communication with external partners. (the external service for prevention and protection at work, FPS WASO, control bodies, insurance company, etc.)
- You develop and implement effective H&S trainings and communications.
- You are the figurehead of safety within the company.
Security
- You implement systems, technical and procedural to guarantee the security of the company's people and property.
- You manage and ensure the correct operation of various systems such as access control and visitor management, intrusion detection, CCTV, fire and gas detection, loudspeakers system.
- You organize checks/response to alarms.
**Qualifications**:
You are a Level 1 Prevention Advisor with at least 3 years' experience.
You have a technical training and experience in the technology or industry sector.
You are fluent in French and have at least a professional knowledge of English and Dutch.
You live in the region of Ghislenghien or you can move to the Ghislenghien region.
You are an enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible person, with a keen interest in and affinity for safety and well-being at work, as well as security.
You have the necessary power of persuasion to further develop a safety culture and work smoothly with different teams.
You have a good knowledge of well-being at work legislation.
Computer skills.
