Caterpillar’s Electrification & Advanced Power Solutions (E&APS) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

The Opportunity
This is a field-based assignment for an experienced individual contributor looking for solving electrification challenges in Construction Industry. Our initial focus will be driven in the Netherlands, with an expectation that you have a presence onsite. As responsibilities for the role grow, travel across Europe will be required.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
As part of the role, you will:
- Coordinate activities on site and with partners to accomplish project deliverables- Provide close field support for successful pilot execution and new technology introduction on site- Develop solutions for field pilots execution by partnering with internal teams across verticals or propose and follow-up on external business partners opportunities- Document and measure learning objectives through disciplined, fact-based methodologies- Monitor system performance- Communicate test results and pilot findings with key stakeholders
Skills and Experience:
- College/ University Degree in a technical field- English fluently read, written and spoken- Progressively responsible job-related experience - ideally this experience will be gained within construction operations.- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills are a must, to drive cooperation, negotiation and reach agreement and harmony with various partners- A proven performance record in managing construction site operations- A background in challenges to overcome with electrification of construction industry- Comfortable in learning and innovation- Business acumen and the ability to communicate complex technical issues to all levels of the organization and find partners to develop solutions- Experience in the Construction and Power generation industries including dealer facing/customer facing/field roles- Dutch fluently read, written and spoken- Organizational and project management skills- Maintains positive and can-do attitude and approach to work- Curious about disruptive technologies, companies, business models, people, and ways to create sustainable value- Comfortable working in a startup environment in a large corporation
Additional notes:
Travel - 40% European travel will be required.
