Hoe maak jij mee het verschil?- Als Strategic Data Analyst draag je bij aan de ontwikkeling van de grote strategische keuzes van NMBS. Je houdt je daarbij vooral bezig met de ontwikkeling en coördinatie van economische modellen. Je leidt zowel benchmarkstudies op hoog niveau, als andere kwantitatieve en kwalitatieve studies die mee de strategische keuzes van NMBS ondersteunen en sturen.- Wat is jouw rol bij NMBS ?- Je draagt bij tot de ontwikkeling van de inhoud en de coherentie van alle strategische modellen van NMBS die essentieel zijn voor de voortdurende verbetering van haar operationele en financiële prestaties.
- In het bijzonder draag je bij aan de ontwikkeling van het model voor het voorspellen van de reizigersstromen tussen de stations en aan boord van de treinen, en van het model ter ondersteuning van de keuzes die moeten worden gemaakt op het gebied van industriële strategie (d.w.z. in het bijzonder de dimensionering van de vloot rollend materieel en de organisatie van het onderhoud ervan).
- Je voert kwantitatieve en kwalitatieve studies uit op basis van (socio-)economische analyses van de spooractiviteiten of het vervoer in het algemeen, maar ook van andere meer specifieke strategische onderwerpen.
- Je voert benchmarks uit om NMBS te vergelijken met andere operatoren. Hiervoor verzamel en analyseer je commerciële, operationele en financiële KPI's en identificeer je de best practices voor de belangrijkste activiteiten van een spoorwegoperator.
- Je volgt de belangrijkste trends die de vraag naar reizigersvervoer beïnvloeden, met name in de spoorwegsector, en verwerkt deze trends in je analyses en modellen.
- Je zal je methodologie, hypotheses en resultaten communiceren aan je collega's bij NMBS en andere partners.
- Waarom is deze job iets voor jou ?- Je hebt een masterdiploma van handelsingenieur, of in (toegepaste) economische wetenschappen of (toegepaste) wetenschappen met een specialisatie in wiskunde / statistiek / data-analyse / kwantitatieve methoden.

- Je hebt een goed begrip van multivariate analysemethoden;
- Je hebt een goede mondelinge en schriftelijke kennis van het Nederlands en het Engels;
- Je hebt een zeer sterk analytisch redeneervermogen en bent oplossingsgericht;
- Je bent leergierig en communiceert gemakkelijk;
- Je werkt graag in een transversale context, zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband;
- Je bent flexibel en past je gemakkelijk aan aan de behoeften van het project en de betrokken mensen.
