**Position description**

We are hiring a **Senior Business Intelligence & Data Analyst **to join our global IT organization based in Zaventem, Belgium. He/she will work closely with the different business functions and our external BI support & development partner to turn transactional data into information that can be used to efficiently make business decisions. This position plays an essential role in the development of dashboards that visualize data to drive actionable insights, and reports to the Business Applications Manager - ERP & BI.

**Responsibilities**
- Analyze and challenge functional requirements, and participate in the development of business cases for process and IT system changes;
- Lead the full software development lifecycle, from analysis to development & testing until go-live and aftercare;
- Write clear and well-structured system specifications for change requests or new functionalities, and work with external developers to deliver these efficiently and effectively, with high quality;
- Validate new solution design proposals with IT Architecture & Security to ensure that they are in line with Miraclon’s enterprise architecture and security guidelines;
- Provide end user support (including access management) for reports and dashboards, through the IT incident management process and tool;
- Report bugs and issues to the external support partner and follow through until resolution;
- Act as back-up for master data maintenance.

**Education requirements**
- ** University degree** in Business Economics, Computer Science or similar;
- Fluent in **English** (both written and oral); other languages are a plus.

**Experience requirements**:

- Extensive experience with **data platforms **(preferably Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Synapse) and** BI solutions** (preferably Microsoft Power BI);
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence & data concepts and market trends;
- Broad knowledge of **business processes**, preferably from an international manufacturing or services environment.
