Technical Program Manager

People management skills and thorough understanding of project management principles

Key job responsibilities
Management/Coordination/Reporting
- Accountable for the competence level, toolbox and quality/timeliness of the work of the New Product Introduction (NPI) project managers
- Responsible for regular individual project status reviews with project managers and advising them on course of action to stay on track
- Responsible for obtaining an approval or clear decision from the gate release committee at project gates and milestone reviews
- Responsible for the status reporting on all projects to the department heads and leadership

Technical
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement on PDP-systematics and internal PM standards & -tools (eg professional program mgmnt planning IT-tool)

Risk management and escalation
- Responsible for conducting further escalation, if a first escalation step cannot be solved by Dept heads
- Responsible for overall company resource planning & sorting out priority conflicts between projects in case cross-project issues arise
