For a client from **Mechelen**, Hays is looking for a freelance **Solution Achitect**.
- **Long term contract**:

**Your tasks**:
As a Solution Architect:
- You understand the needs of the business, collect business and technical requirements, and shape solutions that are answering the need of the business
- You ensure alignment between business unit and corporate objectives and goals
- You build architectural narratives with a clear story and positioning towards ITS as well as the business stakeholders
- You will be in charge of the design of qualitative solutions that will guide the delivery teams, ensuring a right fit of solution for operations, deployment and sustainment
- You enable the (delivery) teams to build the necessary technical knowledge and provide guidance (hands-on if required) to colleagues in your area of expertise
- You help resolve technical issues when required
- You sure that a solution can be deliver in increments so the business can make progress before it is fully complete
- You aid in the selection process of software, analyzing the quality requirements, capabilities and limitations of the different solutions. Ensuring transparency of criteria and correct trade-off analysis
- You protect the solution architecture and its integrity and consistency. Making sure everyone is using it and using it correctly
**Your profile**:
- You are solution driven and you have a strong analytical mindset, combined with creative skills
- You have a strong business acumen and enjoy the challenge of understanding what the business does and/or needs
You have experience in leading (both design and delivery) projects as part of a digital transformation. Focusing on technical feasibility & business value with the agreed guidelines
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments
- You have a good understanding of product management, agile principles (SAFe) and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
- You have a good knowledge of AWS, including cloud native solutions and design patterns
- You have a knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and associated practices: configuration management, test management, CICD, DevOps,
- You have experience working in a pharma or biotech is considered a plus
- You have experience developing architecture patterns and roadmaps
- You have experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences
- You have a knowledge and working experience in modelling (ArchiMate, UML)
- You have experience in vetting and positioning new technologies in the organization to fill the gaps in the ecosystem
- You take ownership and you are accountable and responsible for your designs and solutions
- You are an enthusiastic, driven, and proactive person
- You have strong verbal/written communication skills with ability to effectively interact with business and technical stakeholders
