The company has two facilities; the headquarters are based in Nívelles (Belgium), and the France Research Center focusing on offering an end-to-end DNA production platform based in Evry (France).

To reinforce our team, we are looking for a **Statistician.**

**MISSION**:
As the company’s **_Statistician_**, you will be responsible for all statistical tasks in support of the company’s research and development programs, spanning across development of new processes and technologies and new medicinal products.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

As Statistician, your main tasks (non-exhaustive list) are the following:

- Preparation of statistical analysis/modeling plans
- Conducting statistical analyses
- Interpretation of analyses and writing of reports
- Communication with scientists about statistical designs and interpretation of statistical analyses
- Promote and implement Quality by Design thinking and Design Space methodology
- Provide statistical support to scientists and decision-makers
- Suggest, develop and implement statistical solutions / practices / tools for recurrent data handling requirements
- Training and dissemination of statistical thinking and practices across the company

**REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS**
- Master or PhD degree in statistics or Data Science
- An additional degree in life sciences/engineering is a significant plus
- Experience with R / Python and JMP
- Knowledge of and experience with Statistical Design of Experiments
- Knowledge in Bayesian statistics is a plus
- Knowledge of/experience with machine learning methods is a plus
- Ability to self-organize; requires mínimal oversight, mentoring and coaching
- Excellent communication (written and verbally) and analytical skills
- Critical and independent thinker with an innovative and flexible mindset
- High level of problem-solving skills and ability to set priorities and respect deadlines
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus
